Access Better Living is a not-for-profit charitable organization committed to providing home and community care to seniors, as well as physically and/or cognitively disabled individuals in Timmins, Cochrane, Matheson, and Iroquois Falls.  We want to enable individuals to remain in their home and provide them with services that are accessible. At the forefront is our vision  to provide programs and services that are client-focused and community-minded.

The Board of Directors schedules 10 meetings per year on Wednesday evenings.

Access Better Living Inc. was established in 1980 as a not-for-profit organization with the mission to:

“Promote independent living and community involvement for persons with disabilities through the provision of quality services and housing.”

The volunteer directors form a governance board. We seek to have members representing a cross-section of business, civic, and professional interests in the community.  The board ensures Access Better Living Inc services and programs are delivered within the authority granted by legislation of regulations.  The board has the legal responsibility for governing the agency.
